Description
HPE ETHERNET 10/25GB 2-PORT 640FLR-SFP28 ADAPTER
817749-B21
The HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port 640FLR-SFP28 adapter for ProLiant Gen9 rack servers provides full-featured, high performance, converged 25 Gb Ethernet that accelerates IT services and increases data center efficiency across a broad range of I/O intensive enterprise, cloud and Telco workloads.
It offers a rich set of offload technologies including overlay network tunneling and storage as well as RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) capabilities that increase host efficiency and virtualization performance.
The HPE Ethernet 640FLR-SFP28 can provide up to 100 Gbps of converged bi-directional Ethernet bandwidth, helping to alleviate network bottlenecks. This adapter can also run at 10 Gb for customers who have not changed the infrastructure/switches to 25 Gb yet.
Stuck in network traffic at 10Gbps? Time to take the Express Lane with HPE 25GbE Adapters. With the rise in volume of mobile data and video and the frequency in which it’s accessed, legacy technologies are struggling to handle the increased throughput and lack the capabilities to cost-effectively scale. Current approaches to managing the increasing data center traffic require higher bandwidth and are cost prohibitive, keeping organizations from easily growing as their needs grow. The HPE Ethernet 25Gb 2-port 640 FLR-SFP28 Adapter is a FlexibleLOM form factor for select HPE ProLiant Server DL family of rack and HPE Apollo Servers that delivers high-performance solutions to Telco, services providers, financial institutions and enterprises to meet higher bandwidth demand.
The HPE Ethernet 25Gb 2-port 640 FLR-SFP28 Adapter reduces the impact of overlay networking on host performance with tunnel offload support for VXLAN and NVGRE, increasing VM migration flexibility and network scale with minimal impact to performance.
Decouples virtual overlay network layer from the physical NIC performance.
Auto negotiates to 10GbE for immediate future proofing.
